Hong Lawyer David Ravenscroft

David Ravenscroft was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1976 (now not practicing) and in Hong Kong in 1982 where he has practiced ever since. He set up the firm in 1985 and become a Notary Public in 1988.

He has a general practice, and in recent years has focused on dispute resolution and in particular mediation. He is a mediator accredited with the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the Law Society of Hong Kong and CEDR, and has attended an internship at mediation offices in California. He has given numerous talks and lectures on the subject.

He was recently appointed to the CEDR Asia Pacific Practice Group. As a result of this, whilst he remains happy to accept appointments from other sources, CEDR Asia Pacific will administer all mediations he undertakes. Download David Ravenscroft’s full mediation CV.

Activities

David has attended numerous seminars, lectures and workshops on mediation including those given by Gregg Relyea, Professor Hazel Glenn of University College London, Colin Wall, Ian Hanger Q.C., Ian Spender Q.C., Phillip Howell Richardson and Sir Laurence Street.

He has conducted numerous lectures, seminars and workshops on the practical aspects of mediation including the subjects of handling commercial mediation and representing clients at mediation.

David Ravenscroft has written on mediation for Hong Kong Lawyer and Asian Dispute Review.

Appointment

David Ravenscroft served as Secretary of the Commercial Committee of the Hong Kong Mediation Council from 2006 to 2008.
